The Hanleys Village Show only happens thanks to the wonderful local people who give their time. We invite you to join us on the last Saturday in August to help keep this tradition alive.

How you could help

Set-up & Clear-up Crew

Help us transform the village hall and field before the big day, or join the team ensuring everything is packed away safely on Saturday evening.

Raffle Tickets

Sell raffle tickets on the Saturday afternoon to help raise funds for the show.

Car Park Organiser

Be a welcoming face at the gate and keep things moving smoothly by assisting with parking, the car boot and directing traffic to ensure a safe experience for everyone.

Join the committee

We are a small friendly team which meets around four times a year to review, plan, promote, organise and administer the show. We are keen to respond to feedback each year to make the show better, and change classes from time to time to keep the show fresh and offer different challenges to exhibitors.

Stewarding

Help exhibitors set out their entries on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Welcome judges and and assist them in recording results during the morning of the show.

Why Join Us?

Keep the tradition alive: Since 1952, our village show has been a highlight of the local calendar, but he show literally won't go on without volunteers. Your help will ensure we can preserve a long-running legacy.

Meet your neighbours: It is a wonderful way to connect with the local community, meet new people, and build lasting friendships within the village.

Learn new skills: From event planning and coordination, producing the show schedule, and stewarding, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up useful experience.
